GENDER-INTOLERANCE AMONG QUEER PEOPLE

Queer people or GLBT people in Ghana mostly are expected to be united considered the high homophobic sentiments due to the influence of Christianity and Islam in the country.

Since queer people mostly suffer in the hands of Ghanaians, at least, the community members should be accommodating but it’s the otherwise unfortunately.

Gender is very different from sex, as most queer people may have the male organ in physique but feel more woman within and thus, identify as a woman likewise a queer person could have female sex organ but be male within and thus, feel more manly.

These genders should be respected by queer people and use the appropriate pronouns for a queer person who identifies his/her self as a particular gender. We have those that feel neither male nor female and that also needs to be respected and not to be criticised.

How do you expect people to treat you if you don’t treat your own community members with the respect they deserve void of discrimination? Charity they say begins at home so it begins with you.

When you meet a queer person, don’t be in rush to conclude “bro, how are you?” Just because you assume the person is physically male or “sister, how are you?” just because the person is physically female

Always use pronouns that are not gender sensitive in your first conversations such as they, you, dear, friend, charlie etc.

Then later, you ask the person, “which pronouns are you comfortable with?” Do not always conclude but be always polite by adhering to these simple rules so as not to add insults to injuries. The scambusters team is well aware that some queer people especially those who are more boyish insult “effeminates” or “male acting as females” for accepting that are female within.

Now, this action by queer males should not be tolerated and it’s best for discrimination to end within the queer community in Ghana since that could foster unity because as the saying goes, “if a house is divided among itself, how does one expect the house to stand and why won’t outsiders attack that house?

Also, a final message to all queer males are, never and ever try to bully the effeminates because you cannot add more insults to the injury. If the bisexuals who are mostly straight to society do not discriminate among the effeminates, how much more you who is fully queer except your advantage is, you are “straight acting.”

Remember, you attract what you do to others so if you hate your own people, others would also hate you and harm you and nature would surely preserve those you hate.

Also, it is bad to discriminate among hermaphrodites. Let’s learn to live in love and in unity.

Thank you!

THE BISEXUAL CRAZE/BISEXUAL EGOISM IN GHANA

LGBT is a term that generally stands for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders. Every form of same-sex act/relationship falls within these four basic categories.

So let’s try to understand the four basic basic groupings and then we centre on the bisexuals as the article wishes to clarify.

There are attempts by some individuals to even expand the term LGBT to LGBTQ or LGBTQIA but it all narrows down to the 4 main groupings, LGBT.

L – A lesbian is a woman who has same sex relationship with a woman. Lesbians only have feelings for women but not men. They mostly have male genomes which makes them to see themselves as males so, they have no form of attraction to males.

G – A gay is a male who has same sex relationship with a male. Gays have feelings for only males as they have female hormones in them which attracts them to only males.

B – A bisexual is a male or female who has attraction to both sexes. A bisexual could be a male (Bi-male) or a female (Bi-female). Bisexuals could be very interesting as they are very different from gays and lesbians. A bi-guy would generally act like a guy and there would be no trace of him acting like the opposite gender and the same applies to a Bi-lady. A Bi-lady does everything a woman does except she has feelings for both men and women just as a bi-guy.

T – A transgender is simply a gay who has switched sex to become a lady or a lesbian who has switched sex to become a man so they are able to feel comfortable with their natural gender or who they are inside

BISEXUALS IN GHANA

Most female bisexuals in Ghana are not too self-centered and are generally opened about their sexuality. They do not discriminate and are generally loved by many. The problem or egoism is always with the male bisexuals.

Male bisexuals tend to shun gays (since most of the gay men are effeminate.) An effeminate is someone who was born as a male by sex but does not act or behave like a male. He/She acts like a female.

Majority of the bi-men in Ghana are not open-minded rather close minded. They are well aware that gender is not the same as physical sex yet, they fail to accept that. They shun effeminates in public but they always have sex with them in private.

Out of ten regular boys who parade the street, 4 of them are likely to be bisexuals and they are always the first to ridicule an effeminate to name them as gays just so , people do not suspect their bisexual side.

Also on gay sites, they boldly asks effeminates to walk like real guys when walking with them so not to raise suspicion on themselves. But in private, the effeminates can be who they are. This trend of bisexual guys forcing their will on effeminates is the worst form of abuse ever. They are internally homophobic meanwhile they are half-homosexuals.

This trend of bisexual egoism is the worst form of abuse on the LGBT communities in Ghana. A bisexual male generally see effeminates as sex tools and not lovable humans. They mostly are also the first to comment negative on LGBT people in Ghana meanwhile they are the hardcore members.

So a question, should bisexual males be allowed to enforce their will on the effeminates and make them sex slaves with their toxic masculinity?
